Tile is one of the most versatile flooring products we carry in our showroom. Tile is well known for its versatility in style and application, as well as how durable it is. Tile comes in a variety of price ranges to help fit your budget. Carpeteria Carpet One Floor & Home has what you need when it comes to tile. We have locations in San Diego and San Marcos.
Although you most commonly see tile installed as flooring, you can also have tile installed on your walls. Wall tile, or backsplash tile, breaks up boring walls and gives your space a pop of style. Not only that but wall tile protects your walls and is incredibly easy to care for. There are even tile options strong enough to handle being installed outside as a patio.
Be sure to watch the video below to learn about all of your tile options:
Types of Tile
There are three types of tile options for you to choose from which includes porcelain, ceramic, and stone. Porcelain and ceramic tile are great options for kitchen and bathroom flooring because of their design versatility and how easy they are to care for. Porcelain tile is more durable than ceramic though because it is baked at a higher temperature.
Stone tile is a naturally durable option, but it does come at a higher price tag. Stone is usually treated and sealed to protect against spills, stains, and scratches, so it will last a long time if properly maintained.
Where Can Tile Be Installed?
Many homeowners do not really all the possibilities they have with tile. Tile can be installed on floors, but it can also be installed on walls. When it comes to flooring, you can install tile in just about every room of your home. We recommend installing tile though in places like kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms which are exposed to the most moisture.
Don’t forget that tile can also be installed on the walls of your kitchen as well as in shower stalls. Wall tile and shower tile are both made of different materials. Wall tile is much smaller and light weight, whereas shower tile comes in larger formats and are textured for more slip resistance.
